Notts woman cautioned for wasting police time after 'sexual assault' claims

A woman has been cautioned by police after an investigation revealed claims she was making about a sexual assault turned out to be false.
Nottinghamshire Police said a 46-year-old woman made allegations that she was sexually assaulted in a park off Wood Lane in Hucknall on Monday, October 19, 2015.
Nottinghamshire Police stressed it takes all reports of sexual assault seriously and will carry out a thorough investigation.
Officers said: "In this case the allegation was shown not to have happened, and as a result the woman has been cautioned."
