A Hucknall man has been given a suspended prison sentence after pleading guilty to possession of drugs and an offensive weapon in a public place.

Aaron Gormley, 37, of Portland Road, was stopped on Fletcher Gate in Nottingham on May 11, 2021 and found to be in possession of both class B drugs and a hammer.

At Nottingham Magistrates’ Court, Gormley pleaded guilty to both charges and was sentenced to 14 days in prison – suspended for six months – and ordered to pay a £128 victim surcharge.
